Rebrailizing the blind in the 21st century

Keywords: Braile, Desbrailization, Blind

Abstract

The phenomenon of desbrailization, ie the relinquish of blind people from the use of Braille, is now at a very high level, with the perspective of further increase. This article seeks the roots of this process of abandon, trying to understand why not even the advent of technological artifacts that make its production much faster and automatic, allowing its interactiveness and allows the access to texts in virtual libraries with millions of Braille works, have been able to stop this movement. The text explores arguments that demonstrate that Braille writing is of great utility and convenience in many areas, and seeks to stop the desbrailization mechanisms through a new wave of rebrailization.
