Bruce Caldwell's critical pluralism: a first step towards a pluralist economics

Abstract

This article highlights the main theoretical aspects developed by Bruce Caldwell in his Critical Pluralism. Caldwell's choice stems from its importance as a precursor to Pluralism in Economics, which made it possible to pave the way for calls for a pluralist economic science, present in publications and movements in universities around the world for approximately four decades.

Graduated in Economic Sciences (FCE-UERJ) Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Accounting Sciences and Business Administration and Coordinator of the Post-Graduate Course in Corporate Management at the Souza Marques Technical-Educational Foundation (FTESM).
